Raise your hand if, upon hearing the term “tailoring,” you wouldn’t automatically think of clothes. Probably no one!
If we look for the definition of tailoring, however, the dictionary immediately speaks of an artisanal workshop. In short, it is a place where hands are used, along with sewing machines, but not necessarily where clothes are stitched. And indeed, no, CEPI is not a fashion house. But our four tailors, under the expert guidance of Monica Valbonesi, craft true tailor-made outfits for our silos.

A diverse and ever-changing job. “There is a lot to learn,” Monica explains. “Cutting is not as trivial an action as it seems, quite the contrary! You have to develop the measurements, allow for some extra fabric, and then be able to sew it correctly. Or take the bottoms: the models are all different, and consequently, so are the measurements and the straps.”

Monica states that every silo is unique and it is rare to reuse the same pattern. This is the central theme of the work and method at CEPI: customization and flexibility.
