On June 22nd we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of students from the ITS MAKER Academy of Forlì and their teachers into the company. ITS MAKER is a higher technical institute offering specialized two-year technical courses meant to meet the real needs of the workplace.
The project was carried out by a brilliant team: Alessandro Menarini, Cosimo Cortese, Mattia Merli, Lorenzo Tognù and Andrea Gorini, who is concluding his internship in the Commercial Department at CEPI.
In this meeting, they shared the outcome of the project they have been working on for the last two months. The task proposed to them by CEPI concerned issues as important as they are current, with a focus on automating the process, optimizing volumes and saving time and resources, always with a special attention to occupational safety.
More specifically, CEPI proposed three challenges:
- how do we increase automation during the loading inside the means of transport?
- how do we minimize load handling by forklift?
- how do we move towards an ecologic process, with an end goal of sustainability?
It was really interesting to see how the working groups moved in the search for concrete, intelligent and always sustainable solutions, demonstrating professionalism and seriousness.
Congratulations to the students and their teachers! The success of the 2023 edition leaves us hoping for an equally satisfying appointment for 2024!
We thank the students of ITS Maker Academy in Forlì and the teachers Monica Masotti and Simone Ravaglia, who guided the students along this path. A sincere thank you goes to our Davide Saputo, Head of Factory and HSE, who personally led this interesting and challenging initiative.
See you next year!
