On Friday, October 3rd, in the charming setting of the BRN Bike Café & Restaurant in Forlimpopoli, we came together to celebrate an important milestone for our company: our 40th anniversary. Forty years of a story built on people and authentic relationships. And who else could be at the heart of this evening, if not them — the people of CEPI, the beating heart of the company?
The evening began with a rich aperitif in the venue’s outdoor garden: a moment that, despite the crisp temperature, immediately warmed the atmosphere with laughter, hugs, and the first toasts. Around 8 PM, we moved into the large indoor hall, where we enjoyed a delicious dinner. The night unfolded beautifully, thanks to the talent of host and vocalist Carlotta Savorelli and the vibrant music selection by Giulia Furani DJ, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, growing with emotions, memories, and a touch of nostalgia.
The screening of “40 Reasons to Celebrate”, a video created especially for the occasion by collecting 40 reasons our employees found to celebrate CEPI’s anniversary, truly touched all our hearts.
We’re sharing it below: take a look and don’t say it didn’t make you smile — because we won’t believe you 😉
But the emotional moments that will leave a lasting mark weren’t limited to the video screening. Throughout the evening, several people took the stage at BRN to share memories, stories, and words of gratitude. From CFO Sandra Ceccarelli to President Giancarlo Riccardi, from Mattia Riccardi (Head of Logistics and Assembly) to Factory Director Davide Saputo, from Production Director Marco Ricci to Luca Ceccarelli, Head of Research and Development at CEPI, board member and son of Piero Ceccarelli — a cornerstone and founding partner of CEPI.
In his speech, Luca emphasized how forty years represent a meaningful journey — one made of challenges, changes, achievements, and above all, people. His heartfelt message to the CEPI community was so moving that we decided to share an excerpt:
“Forty years… is it a little? Is it a lot? If you had asked me some time ago, I would’ve said without hesitation that it’s a very long time. But now, as age advances and perspective shifts, I realize that our perception of time changes. Forty years is a significant stretch of road. A journey filled with beautiful, difficult, and exhausting moments — but also with great satisfaction. With changes, with challenges overcome, and others faced with courage. But above all, a journey made of people.
Because what truly makes the difference isn’t just the results, the numbers, or the goals achieved — although they matter, and we’re proud of them. The real wealth of these forty years is the time each of you has dedicated to this company. The time you’ve chosen to invest, day after day, with passion, commitment, and sometimes even fatigue.
And time, as we know, is a precious resource. Perhaps the most precious we have. It can’t be recovered, stored, or saved for later. And for this very reason, knowing that so many people have chosen to dedicate part of their time — and therefore, in a way, part of their lives — to building this reality together, holds immense value.
Over the years, we’ve exchanged ideas, solutions, smiles — and yes, even a few disagreements, because that’s part of the game. Surely, each of us has memories and anecdotes to dust off. But most importantly, we’ve shared the journey. And that, in my opinion, is what makes a reality like ours something more than just a workplace.
We live and work in a world that places great value on performance and results, often putting the person behind the machine, efficiency over humanity. Of course, being effective is essential for us — but I firmly believe that no innovation, no technological advancement can truly make sense without the value of people. Without human capital.
And that’s the purpose — and the wish — I want to share with you tonight: that CEPI continues to be a place truly worth investing your time in. A place to grow professionally, but also to thrive as individuals.”
Luca concluded by thanking everyone — present and not — for their trust, patience, and enthusiasm, and invited everyone to enjoy the evening, designed to celebrate this important milestone together.
It was a night that reminded us of who we are, where we come from, and most importantly, where we want to go. An opportunity to celebrate not just a milestone, but a shared vision built on commitment, passion, and authentic relationships. We carry with us the energy of this celebration — the smiles, the words, the memories. And we continue building CEPI’s future, together. Because if the first 40 years were extraordinary, we’re certain the next ones will be even more so. The heartbeat goes on! ❤️
