Forlì — On Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 5:00 PM, at the Auditorium of the Church of San Giacomo, internationally renowned economist Stefano Zamagni, Professor and former President of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences, will lead a talk dedicated to civil economy and virtuous relationships for economic growth and the enhancement of local territories.
Civil economy offers a perspective that places people, relationships, and responsibility at the center, broadening the very concept of value and linking local roots with competitiveness. It is a useful framework for addressing ongoing transformations and designing long-term sustainable growth paths.
The event is part of the 40th anniversary celebrations of both CEPI and the Consorzio Solidarietà Sociale: two organizations deeply rooted in the region, which—though operating in different sectors, one as an industrial enterprise and the other as a network of social cooperatives—share the vision championed by Professor Zamagni and implement it through concrete choices that benefit the community.
CEPI S.p.A. is an industrial company that designs, builds, and installs turnkey systems for the storage, transport, and dosing of raw materials, with integrated automation. Headquartered in Italy, it operates globally. The Consorzio Solidarietà Sociale Forlì-Cesena is a network of social cooperatives that co-designs and manages social, educational, and care services, promoting job inclusion and community development in the area. The two promoters, who will speak at the opening, have co-designed a model of “shared welfare” that combines industrial and socio-educational expertise, generating internal well-being and value for the territory.
The presence of Professor Zamagni will provide an authoritative framework to delve into these topics and explore alliances between different sectors—business, institutions, and the third sector—capable of generating impact. It is no coincidence that, like CEPI, the Consortium is also celebrating 40 years of activity: different stories that demonstrate how collaboration can become an effective territorial model.
“This is an invitation to the community to reflect on the meaning of enterprise today: competitive, innovative, and people-centered,” says Sandra Ceccarelli, CEO of CEPI S.p.A. “With Professor Zamagni’s perspective, we aim to broaden the horizon of value and share a vision of growth that benefits both the company and the territory.”
Marco Conti, President of CSS, adds: “Only a solid territorial ecosystem can respond to today’s many economic, social, and environmental challenges, which contribute to increasing vulnerability and generating new needs. Following the principle of subsidiarity, which Professor Zamagni always reminds us of, it is essential for public and private entities, businesses, and the third sector to come together to create a true social economy.”
